About

My name is Ron Jones. About 7 years ago (…wow! has it been that long???) I got out of the U.S. Marine Corps after a nine-year career in the Infantry. For those unfamiliar with the military, the Infantry is the “pointy end” of the foreign policy debate team.

Nearly immediately I went to work for a boutique consulting firm in the IT services field. Which makes perfect sense when you’ve got a degree in Finance/Management.

After a couple of years, I hung out my shingle and offered IT services for the local small business community. Did fairly well, but the work far outstripped the pay & benefits. There is a lot more work involved in running a business than in doing business when you’re a ’solopreneur.’

Recently, I got the opportunity to cash in, close up shop and explore the world of Internet Marketing. As it turns out, “it was the best of times, it was the worst of times…” to strike out on the Internet in search of income. In light of the fact that (here in the US) our national currency has been inflated and debased past all hope of recovery, and the new regime has made it clear that more inflation, higher taxes, and more spending are on the way…I’ve decided to attack it with a vengeance.

If you’ve ever researched the possibility of earning a living online, you’ve probably heard stories of “Internet Riches.” Or worse, gotten dizzy scrolling through an over-hyped sales pitch for what amounts to a PDF file of some other guys opinions.

Over the years, I’ve bough an embarrasing amount of training material, tools, software and services designed to enable one to set up, automate and succeed at building a business online. There are very few stand-outs in the field. When I find something worthwhile, I will pass it along. Whenever possible, I will recommend tools & resources that are zero-dollar items. I call them zero dollar, rather than “free” because…and it’s important that you get this…THERE IS NOTHING FREE ON THE INTERNET. Whether it’s your money, or your time, everything costs something.

When I make a recommendation, I may receive an affiliate commission from those who choose to buy it. However, it’s important to me that you know this…when I make a recommendation, I stand by it with my reputation. Enough that I put my personal contact information on the “Contact” page of this site.

My original intent for TheDailyProfit.com is to journalize my thoughts, and document the specific process involved in promoting & marketing products online, with a view towards developing those thoughts and processes into a saleable product.

The information on this site will remain here and remain open to all regardless of whether I decide to package it up and market it or not.

I wish you the best,

Ron Jones
